Process Digital Sales Information with ease

As download sales gain momentum, how do you handle the data?

Finally, music download sales gain momentum. You spent a bunch of time collecting all your release and song metadata for the iTunes Store or an aggregator. You receive numerous, detailed sales data files from the iTunes Music Store and other resellers. Fine, but how do you transfer all this data into royalty statements?

Step 1: Setting up your licensors

Import address information from various sources, like the Apple Address Book, Entourage, Outlook or Excel. After Importing, you enter the royalty settings for each licensor.
Single track and album downloads can distribute different royalties. The interval for royalty statements can be set from 1 month to any number of months. Statements can be issued in any currency.

Step 2: Import playlists from iTunes producer

You can transfer all playlist and release data by simply choosing the desired release in a file dialog.

The meta data files can be located easily in the Music / iTunes Producer folder. You can assign an exisiting licensor to all tracks of a new release with a single mouse click.

Royalty Producer automatically creates new labels, when needed. The imported data shows up in a well arranged data browser. Click on a label entry on the left list to display all releases of that label. Click on a release to display the playlist. Click on a song to display the track and licensor information.

Step 3: Import sales data

Import the monthly sales statements you receive from the different iTunes Music Stores with a single mouse click. All sales data shows up in the "Sales" tab. As Royalty Producer only

calculates royalties on sales that have been paid, you are able to enter the payment date and currency exchange rate. Royalties will be adapted and paid accordingly. You now have all necessary data for royalty statement creation - in just three simple steps.
